Our programme aims to deliver the full primary Type 1 Diabetes curriculum at diagnosis via a structured educational course using a Flipped learning approach.

This is where the patient will learn all about Type 1 Diabetes via a virtual learning environment (a purpose built app). We aim to teach all newly diagnosed type 1 diabetic children and their families the knowledge for them to fully manage their own diabetes.

Type 1 diabetic patients achieve the best outcomes when they are empowered with the knowledge of their condition so that they can manage it themselves. We know that getting training right at diagnosis has a lifetime of diabetes benefit, and that Type 1 diabetic patients achieve the best outcomes when they are empowered with the knowledge of their condition so that they can manage it themselves.
